I got one for my 17th (which, yes I know, I'm under age)
It's the lyrics of Shinedown - Call Me on my ribcage.
"Call me a Sinner,
Call me a Saint,
Tell me it's over,
I'll still love you the same."
What do you think? :)
FYI - The reason I got these lyrics is because when my first love left me, I was so broken up into so many tiny pieces that I was near suicide. This song helped me hold onto my life by the thread that it was.
And though I still hurt a lot from it, I'm better now - so this is very meaningful for me.

I've seen some very pretty ones on girls but they're not for me. I don't want my grandkids saying "who is Justin Bieber?" :)

I would never get one. They look trashy and are a permanent sign of ignorant adolescence. It sure will be hard to have a career and a good job by having good credentials, much less having stamps all over you.
Also, did you know the ink used in tattoos damages the muscle under the tattoo and the ink gets into your bloodstream and can damage your brain and the rest of your body.
Also, think to when you want to get married, have kids, have a job, when you are 60...will you always want this tattoo? If you tattoo the name of your 15 year old boyfriend on your breasts, will a different guy ever want to marry you? Will you really want to remember these things?

I love my tattoos. I have two. One across my chest that say's Break Away, and one on my shoulder that say's Sadie.
I will always believe in my choices of modification. I think Marilyn Monroe had it right. She didn't like how she looked, so she changed herself, and she thought what she did was beautiful. Every tattoo and piercing I get, and every time I dye my hair, or find a new way to do my makeup, I feel closer to who I'm meant to be.

There's a campaign going on here in the UK not to judge people who have tattoos, tattoos for a lot of people have big significant meanings, one of the biggest reasons can be for closure on something, or to remember someone who's passed.
this is from the campaign i was on about, i think its on in america as well

I would want a heart right above my V-line
or I would get seductive words somewhere on my body for fun
but right now all I want is a paw print

That's cool Sophia. I definitely think people in England are more judgemental about tattoos than people here. We have our stuff we are over judgemental about too but usually not tattoos.
for a while there was a lot of prejudice over tattoos where it affected people getting jobs, but that's slowly going now, the only real place they ain't properly accepted at least the ones that can't be covered up using the male collar and cuffs method is the army
:: Collar and Cuffs ::
if a long sleeve suit outfit can cover it up, so down to the wrists and below the lower part of the neck
