Now this isn't a debate over whether or not there is a "higher power", this is a debate of what you believe that higher power is. Do you believe that there is a god? Or what do you see a higher power is. I see things from an atheistic point of view, but still, my family is pretty religious, and whenever I hear higher power, I think of God, but what else could higher power refer to? I mean, Laveyanists believe in a higher power, but do not believe in God, so what would one believe in if they believe in a higher power, but not specifically god? But then again, what do you actually see god as? Do you seem him/her/them as someone/some group that control(s) everything, or a person/group that only watch(es) over us?? Or do you seem god(s) as more than that? Or less? What do you see god/a higher power as? What is it to you? What is your interpretation of the word "God", or the phrase "Higher Power"?
Sorry its so long, just getting my thoughts out... I'll post what I think after a couple of replies..

I'm agnostic. I don't believe in one. I feel no need to make a conclusion as I feel that its unanswerable and I just want to live life not worrying about it. I hardly think about religion day to day.

As I have said in a previous post, I am what people would refer to as a hybridist.
And as Rtas believes, I believe in a god, but I do not believe that he is as humans percieve him to be, and I certainly do not believe in a heaven or hell. Honestly, I believe there is more to it than most people believe, but that's just me.

Yes I believe in god.
I don't like the debates.

I'm not sure whether I believe in god or not... I can't say I believe in god until I truly know what god "is". I mean, what is the actual meaning of god? What is god?? I can't believe in something that I don't understand, although I see myself is part-laveyan, but I'm really just agnostic like my dad, because I can't even be laveyan without believing in a higher power, and I just don't see how anything can control everything, thus I don't see how there can be a higher power, and although I love the ideals of laveyanism, I technically can't be a true follower if I don't believe in a higher power... So yeah, I just don't see what "god" is, and b/c I don't understand the concept of the existence of god, I obviously can't believe in god. God may or may not exist, but again, I don't care about that, what I want to know is, what is "God"?

I am Catholic and I believe in God. Whether people want to yell about if He is real or not, just leave me out. I stand by my faith forever, no matter the consequence. I believe He is the higher power. He has the power to do anything, and so He is not only the higher power, He is the Highest Power.

Yes, but the question here is not if you believe or not, but what you see God as. What is "God"?
