Hello, just a quick question.

Is it possible to treat serious cases of schizophrenia WITHOUT the use of medicine? Has there ever been any case of a schizophrenic who got better just through therapy?

Oh, and also, do the medications ACTUALLY make the voices go away? I've never taken any medications before, so I am curious to hear the experience of someone who has taken pills for schizophrenia that worked (or didn't work). Did you notice any strong differences in how you acted before and after being on the medication? What did the transition from 'unstable' to 'stable' feel like?

I'd just kind of like to know. I've always heard that medications have bad side effects, and I want to know, in case I get worse in the future. So I can decide what's better for me..

I don't have schizophrenia but to my knowledge there is only one person who has successfully struggled with and come out the other side of schizophrenia without medication. Ever.

It is a degenorative disorder and while some days maybe symptom-free you will get worse over time. The medication helps stable you and will rid you of the symptoms. The side-effects are something which you learn to cope with or if other medication is avaliable then you can switch meds to see if you get less side-effects with them.

As I said before, schizophrenia is degenerative. You will get worse without the meds. With the meds you can live a happy, symtom-free and stable life. It is not worth the risk of trying to handle it without them.

i dont know but i have a minor case i hear a voice talking to me i also have adhd a writing disorder and a learning disorder so yeah im crazy
