The spring season is about to start, so I was thinking that it would be cool to have a thread dedicated to lax convos.
What league do you play for?
What division?
What position do you play?
What position would you like to play?
What's your preferred stick?
How many goals did you make last season? (this includes long poles too)
How are you preparing for the season?
Anything else you would like to add :)

How are you preparing for the season? season already started, but i ran a lot over the winter.
season already started. i play jv and supposed to play varsity. so far i sit the bench on varsity. hate just standing there but i get it. I'm pretty much there as a back up if someone gets hurt. we have two rotations that the coach is trying to get to gel which isn't going so great. until those guys get it, i don't have a shot at much varsity playing time, but as a team, we were told if the second rotation doesn't get it this week, the freshman (me) are going to get their shot.
In the past, coach had two rotations going for offense and would bring in the JV guys (one per position) after those rotations are solid. Well, those aren't going well. coach is pissed.
if my jv team played above average and the varsity plays average, jv wins. that's pretty bad since varsity guys are bigger and little faster. I don't say anything, but their passing kinda sucks. painful to watch.
goalie isn't good at finding open attack for short pass, so he panics and throws a ball to no body in the middle of the field or if it's to a middie at mid field it goes out of bounds. what the hell. worse is we don't win that many face offs, so turn overs are killer.
sorry to be so down, but a lot of us worked hard in the off season, some played fall ball so to see juniors and seniors (not all of them) laugh it off when the screw up makes the rest of us want to do a beat down on 'em. Seriously, it's not a hard throw and catch the ball and if no one is open, ya take a beating, protect the ball until help comes, it's not hard.
let me know how your season, tryout etc goes. I'm guessing you play up north because your season hasn't started and if that guess is right, you team is more serious about it than my varisty team is. Weird that jv team seems more talented and focused.
