I used a Mac for over 3 years and enjoyed it alot! I've used Windows my whole life. I enjoy the Mac for the apps and simplicity of it. Also the sleek and smooth design. I enjoy Windows for surfing the web and playing games. The design is O.K. but I believe that it's bulky. So what's your opinion on both computers? Take part in the poll and let's see who owns what!

I have a late '12 Macbook pro that I use mostly for school. I bought it because it was a platform/os I wanted to make myself familiar of. It didn't take a long time, and having linux experience helped.

I've got a 2012 13" MacBook Pro that I use for school and recreation. I don't understand why people say they are garbage. I mean they have a super long battery life, really really nice graphics, a sleek looking design, and the laptop its self is really light. The only downside is the price.

I own a Macbook Pro, and it's expensive, but worth the price imo. I mainly use it for school, but it's so fast and smooth. It helps me complete my work efficiently, as well as have personal fun.

I haven't had a problem so far.

I think the true winner is Linux, however no one gives love to it. Out of those two I will have to go with Mac since it is a superior developing tool, it only need to get more games and it will be completely superior for me.

Window is not a computer... But I use windows and minix. I don't need to shellout 4999 $ for them to use.

Nice opinions above! Never had any virus problems or computer being slow when I had a Mac. If I had the money I would go out an buy one.

Windows is not a computer, therefore how can it be bulky?

Yea I found out afterwords I posted this. Opps! All laptops and computers that Ive seen that aren't Macs just seem so bulky and not as slim. Of course other computer makers are starting to make them much slimmer.

Windows is an OS... The Mac OS idk what its called long long ago it was Tiger.

Anyway Macs are grossly overpriced the only thing they had going for them was the "sleekness" but thats it now you got ultrabooks/asus zenbooks etc that are sleek higher performing and nowhere near as expensive.

A core i5, intel hd 4000 (integrated graphics), 128gb ssd and 4 gugs ram mac will cost you about 1100-1350$

While you could get a core i7 3630QM, 512 GB SSD, nvidia gt 630m 2GB vram ddr3 and 16gb ram lap top with win7/8 for 1000-1100$ if you look around enough :P

Ahh and the ancient mac has fewer viruses is ignorant talked, it used to be so because there were very few macs systems compared to windows systems... And there still are fewer macs than windowses... Also the laymans imagination of what a computer virus does is *****

I like a little of both, and I own both.

I use my Windows computer for gaming, because Macs are obviously lacking in that area, and programs for school that aren't always available for Macs/don't always work properly on a Mac.

I use my Mac for leisure time, digital art, recording music, etc. My windows computer cannot really compete with it in that aspect.

I am a fan of both, I just lean to one side depending on what I'm going to be using the computer for.

Look up "ultrabooks" very far from bulky haha.

I have windows. Apple's shit. Proven by Itunes, as well as some of the Iphones. I could never own a Mac.

I like Apple, but I'm just so much more used to Windows. My PC is Windows 7. Home office is Win7, my parents have Macbooks though, one Pro and one Air.

Well... I'm a Mac owner too.... :P

Though to be fair, I do own many Windows-based PC's (and android devices). I personally think people are just finding every reason they can to nitpick Apple. ("ohhhh, they redesigned their charger? are they fucking insane? who changes charger ports with new products?" comes to mind.)

I have a Hewett Packard with windows. All my life I've used windows. I never used Mac but I hear that you get alot more control over your computer with windows.

But I guess Microsoft is starting to take an apple approach to their OS, using apps and whatnot.

On a loosely-related note, I watched a prank call video where a guy called apple a complained about his Mac .... his complaint was that it was a mac. Really funny!

Well, depends on who you are, MAC is better for tech newbies, but the price is outrageous! It's not even like they use fancy materials, it's just cheap plastic, they cost is all in the name. PC OTOH is my favorite, you can get double the power for half the price as well.

I have a PC (custom built). I like it better since I can customize and upgrade it more easily than a Mac and there are more games out for PC than Mac but I know that's slowly starting to change which is cool. Also I've tried macs and they seem cool but I just don't have a good enough reason to switch.

I prefer windows as it's great for games, lots of support for programms and the design of it is quite nice, the mac on the otherhand looks nice but comes with a stupid price tag, for that price a normal windows pc computer at a mac price would be a super gaming pc. At the end of the day it comes down to what you use a computer for, everyone has there opionon,

I've used Mac in the campus computer labs, since only they have Chrome, but on laptops it's always Windows

I used windows all my life until last year, I bought the iMac.. i love apple!!
I wouldn't switch back unless I needed to but I can get most programs on my mac or run windows on it.

I guess the reason people call them s**t is because it is overpriced for the specs, but the aluminium, glass, design and simplicity of OS X makes up for it.. they are made to last!!

Windows,

For some reason a Mac hasn't appealed to me and windows is the major thing here currently so I go with the flow. Windows hasn't let me down so far.

Mac sucks. Then again, Microsoft sends me free stuff for being so loyal to them, so I guess it's because Mac computers just aren't quality, and then the $20 check in the mail every now and then isn't bad.

It depends on what tiu want.Mac OS runs on specific hardware, and can be good, though rather expensive. Windows OS runs on more Hrdware, and has had its issues (Windows Vista is rubbish!). Give me Win XP or Win 7 on an HP device with an hP printer any day!

I always used windows and then i got a Mac about 3 years ago and have converted completely to apple for everything and hope to get a job at apple in the near future.
