I need major help

Alright I have been cutting for a while and I am usually really careful everything nice and clean take care of all the cuts. But this time i didn't and now I have a 4 inch cut on my are that is badly infected.. I need excusses to tell my doctor or how to get rid of the infection.PLEASE HELP!!!

I think you definitely need to see a doctor as soon as possible. An infection like that can get really bad if you don't take care of it immediately. As for an excuse, you could try saying something like you tripped and fell on a large piece of discarded metal or something like that.

:( personally though, i don't think you should make an excuse when you're purposely doing it to yourself. A person has to be in a lot of emotional pain to resort to something like that (I know all too well, I've been in the same situation several times). Do you mind me asking who/what is troubling you?

I agree completely, you need to come clean to your doctor at least. If he/she knows everything then he/she can help you much more.

I agree with everyone else, if you want help I would see a doctor and be honnest he will probably be understanding.

However, I know how you feel. I don't like making unwanted medical committments (being referred to counseling, etc) but if you don't you'll most likely get in this situation again.

A cut on my leg got so infected once that I was throwing up and had a bad fever. I didn't go to the doctor, and ended up passing out, and my mom called an ambulance, so I didn't have a chance to make an excuse before everyone saw it. You should go ASAP so you still have time to cover yourself.
