Hey!
As none of you know, I have a minor form of autism. Meaning I don't do some things so well, but my skills I have are amazing. I went to my first day on the job today and a bunch of adults (im 16 btw) made fun of me because I was somehow portraying the disorder.

Is autism something to be criticized? Why do people do it? (they didn't hurt my feelings; I stood proud and said 'yeah. So what if I do? You afraid you're not as smart as someone with a disorder?)

Usually it's a touchy topic that no one would want to point out, I'm surprised they'd make fun of you. It's like making fun of someone with cancer.

They're just assholes. Typically when people think of autism they stereotype it, so they might've thought you couldn't understand them. If it becomes harassment you could probably tell your boss about it and if he does nothing even make a small claim for harassment.

Honestly, I don't know why so many people make fun of, or criticize someone who has a disorder. Nobody has any control, over getting, or having a disorder.
Whoever makes fun of anyone who has a disorder, is a major asshole, and a low-life.
And when you think about it, everyone has "disorders" as we all have imperfections. Nobody is perfect.

It's obviously not right to criticize people with Autism. It can be a hard time for some people with it.

As a neuroatypical myself, I would say that if you don't fight to get your disorder under control, you reap what you sow. It takes a lot of fucking work but it's not that hard.

Also, it is possible to "grow out" of it to a degree. Since you are so young you probably still show some of the more ridiculous signs.

^It sort of varies among neuroatypical disorders whether one can eliminate all of the external symptoms.
