View Full Version : Are they making fun of my sexuality?

In my drama class, my group kept telling me that this other guy in my group and I were soulmates and I would deny it and try to ignore it. When he thought I was ignoring them he stage-whispered "She's a lesbian!" but he didn't know that for sure. I said "What?" and he said "Huh?" so I said, "Yeah, I am." My group was a little surprised except for my "soulmate", who is always making fun of me. Anyways, these girls in my group (who are straight) are coming really close to me, but they ignored me before. They'll keep poking my stomach and sides and touch my face and one of them even said, "Hey guys I'm bi." but she kept saying before and after that she was straight. Are they making fun of me? I don't get it.*

it sounds like they are. it's all to common for teens to behave this way and most do it because they think it makes them look good to their friends and makes them more popular to make fun of someone thats different. I'm betting that these kids that are doing this only do it when in a group and not when your alone with any one of them. Wish there was an easy answer as how to stop this but my advise is just to walk away when this starts and don't let them see how it effects you. many times they will get bored and find a new victim that gives them the feedback they crave to propagate such behavior.
