I think it would be nice to be able to save an unfinished post we're typing to post later. A lot of the time I write a lot in a reply and realize I'm going to need to finish it later. I can copy it into a Word document (and if I'm posting a topic I know will be long I start it in a Word document) but it would be nice if the forums allowed it directly.

I suggested this before but I think it was rejected because of something to do with server space....I'd still like this though

Huh, I didn't know about that :/ Guess it's out of the question, unless we decide to upgrade VT to vB 4, which will never happen

I support the idea, but we're short on bandwidth/server space as it is. It would have a major effect on the server.

I wouldn't say never, but we're not planning to anytime soon.

VT is not short on server space or bandwidth.

So I was just typing out a PM to a friend when I noticed I should probably start getting ready for work in a few minutes and wouldn't have time to finish the message, and I thought "damn, I really wish I could save this as a draft..." Then it dawned on me that you can send PMs to yourself. So if you don't have enough time to complete a lengthy post, PM, whatever else it may be, you can always PM what you have to yourself and open it up to finish at a later date.
It may not be perfect, but it works, I suppose. Hope it helps a little bit...
