A sub-forum for Anxiety.

Anxiety is really common in teens, and I've seen quite a few posts in the general Mental Illnesses forum for it, so I just think it would be good to have a place to put them. That's all. :D

Yeah I'm all for this. I've had a hard time trying to find a place to ask for help about panic attacks before, so all for it

I'm not really sure why I suffer anxiety, I was just born this way lol. It's basically a mental disorder, which makes me very nervous and anxious about social situations. People get it for different things, I get it for social situations. It can be really bad, and it gets to the point where I'm literally throwing up. I actually had to start homeschooling because of it.

Same here. Seriously sucks :/

Anyway, yeah, this would be nice and I'm all for it, but I also don't see a problem with the way it is now either. I've always assumed anxiety issues would go best in the Mental Crisis forum, since that's essentially what it is, or what it feels like anyway. Or if it's social anxiety, it could go in those respective threads (family and friends, relationships and dating) but yeah, I guess it would be nice to have them all in one place.

I also agree with Melissa, though. This is a great idea, and I'd love it, but it could easily fit into the mental crisis forum.

There are a lot of anxiety questions that aren't emergencies though.

That's true. I hope the Admins consider this idea, I think it'd be a really great addition to the site.

From a historical point of view, anxiety has always fallen under the "Mental Illness" category which is like the Ward's blanket miscellaneous forum. However, seeing that ADD/ADHD, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, and OCD each have their own, I don't see why not. Is it possible to make this a double sub as in each of these specifics would fall within Mental Illnesses within the Psych Ward? Psych Ward/ Mental Illness /(each major condition has its own sub forum)?
