I think there should be a VT Doctor. I think where was one a while back. It should be someone who has a knowledge if medical issues, and quick to advice.

Sounds like an OK idea, but I think everything is fine the way it is, and we don't have any certified doctors on this site, and it is extremely hard to recognize certain things unless you can physically see them... Not a bad idea, but I don't exactly see how effective it will be... :/

I don't see the need for this. I think we are fine how we are. Many people here know many different things, and if not they will look it up. If things get serious, they should see a real doctor.

I don't think we've ever had one. And I don't see what we would gain with one either.

Our sister site GovTeen has medics (which is what they called their on site doctors) and none of them are very active. As you can expect a medical profession can cause you to be very busy and there isn't much time to post on a teen forum. Its a very good idea in theory, but just wouldn't work out in action. If someone needs a doctor they should see a real one, and adults really have no place on this site.

There's plenty online resources where you can seek medical attention. A forum, this one in particular, you really don't need one, because everyone knows what they're talking about.

One of the whole points of virtual teen (I think) is to get advice from other teens, yes having doctors would help but as everyone says doctors are busy and may dont want to give up there free time to answer questions that they normally get paid for.

Right now, there are few people that are even over 20. That might come as a shock to some, but once a member joins this site, they can stay as they continue to age.

Now then, we definitely don't have any medical professionals here as of yet. In years to come, some of our veteran members may go into the medical field - as Cody is and I will be soon. Who knows, maybe in the future, we will allow adults to join that have a reason for being here.

But... Under the current circumstances, we don't need to open that position up. By the by, we never have had that position here - GovTeen has though ;)

Like, even I could be a doctor in years to come. I totally agree with the admin, as you know, what admin says, it stays!

Suckup. :P

But as they say, it's better to suck up, than to suck down.

Kiros is correct in saying that a lot of people could become doctors in the future, and you agreeing with that is fine, but what the admin says doesn't always stay! (in most situations it does).. But VT is a democracy, and we the people have our say, as that is why Michael (Dotcrazy), was allowed to post this and have us state our opinions. Had the majority thought otherwise, but both admins disagreed, it is likely that the position would have been created anyways. But 'tis not the case, so I'll just shut up now. :P

I think Ben has basically said all that needs to be said in regards to this thread so to prevent unecessary posting here...
