Because he was an idiot. Despite his amazing personal connections, he skated through college with Cs.

Because his daddy was president, he had the southern charm and many middle class american's preferred him to Gore back in 2000. Hence why he was able to get New Hamsphire which helped by giving him 4 electoral votes to win

Got us into two wars. Quickly eliminated the Clinton surplus with tax cuts, which sent us into the recession. But I can't say that it was all his fault, except for the war part, but he did sign the tax cuts into effect. But maybe I'm just misunderestimating him.

Would you listen to your doctor if he just made up words? Well George W. Bush is a president who bs'd his way into office 2 terms in a row. Started at least one war over oil reserves and then said it was because of wmd even though no evidence seems to ever have existed. He was stupid but he got away with it so in the end he's brighter than you would think.

I agree with you about bush but Iraq was not about oil at all. Saddam was selling oil to us under the oil-food program. When we did invade did we build a pipeline that got us the oil, no. The oil is under the control of the democratically elected Iraqi government.

The evidence at the time suggested that Saddam had weapons, he also had chemical and Biological Weapons. He refused to let the UN weapon inspectors in to check he had been disarming. He only met 1 out of 21 critea set by the UN after the 1991 war. Evidence did exist, have you seen the downing street memo, the defectors and the weaponised waste kept outside Baghad.

We had article 51 of the United Nations charter and a resoulition, this wasn't an illegal. I'm not a bush fan, I dislike him but Iraq was not an illegal war, it was just a mistake

I do not think he was stupid. There was an intelligence aid who wrote about how that was a common misconception. Similar to how many people think Joe Biden is stupid. Both are just kind of a little random with their thoughts.

I disagree with his policies and the implications they've had on our society, but that was not the question.

Meh. He was pretty stupid as well as governmental policy went (coughIRAQcough). I mean seriously after Iraq was occupied no WMDs were found at all. But other then that he was average.

The funniest thing is that the american electorate didn't even vote him in. Not only did he lose the popular vote but he also only just managed to scrap Florida due to the supreme court ruling that they had not recounted the votes in a legal way. It helped that his dad's friends were also on the Supreme court

he put us into two wars for a good reason. if we didnt go to afghanistan after 9/11 terrorists would think we are wimps and wont go after the people who kill americans. so we bombed the hell out of them. we went to iraq over WMD which hasnt been found and probably never will be but i believe it was there and i believe they hid them in syria.

Reasons for his stupidity:
He said he wants to learn Latin so that he could speak to people in Latin America
Choked on a pretzel

I think people threw shoes at him several times. There is even one browser game where you lob shoes at him.

The Taliban (in Afghanistan only) did not cause 9/11, Al-Qaeda (spread around the Middle East mostly) did. Still that is not a reason to go and ruin 2 countries and suck their oil reserves dry, especially countries which did not take any part in it. Weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? There were not any, all were destroyed at least 20 years ago, and you as a national army cannot move weapons outside your borders as you see fit. During the last invasion of Iraq, US Armed Forces were fighting the Iraqi National Army, not terrorists. The Taliban were armed and trained by the CIA in the 80s during the Soviet-Afghan war, they did not do anything against the US. The US just bombed them all of a sudden without any warning.
