There's no way in hell anything like the Homefront scenario can happen. At least, not right now. North Korea can hardly feed it's own people, so I don't think it can commit to a war on such a scale.

The KPA is the 4th largest standing army in the world, but that's sill not enough manpower to take over the US like in Homefront. They don't have the technology required for such a surprise attack, and I'm pretty sure the CIA and any of the other agencies would be blind if Kim was planning something like that.

Also, North Korea is as isolated as it was since the end of the Civil War. It won't find any allies in Asia. In the game, China and Japan joined the unified Korea, but that can't happen in the real world.

Homefront was good entertainment, but that's all it is. No reason to be worried about anything like that happening anytime soon.

China is an ally of North Korea. China supports North Korea, a little unbelievable but true.

I'd listen to this girl if I was you

China really isn't ally like how the uk is our ally, china just looks over NK, kind of like that nice guy who befriends the kid with no friends, but they might manipulate NK one day and a NK with china front could kind of be like homefront

North Korea is one of China's interests. Just because it opposes the US. Communist and socialist states have always sticked together, but that doesn't mean they'd go to war for one another. This isn't the Cold War era anymore.

In Homefront, North Korea strong arms the Chinese government, who are reluctant to join the war. I don't really see that happening in the real world...

All I know is that if North Korea attacks us or any of our allies, North Korea is gonna get obliterated.

Exactly. That's what NATO is for. :P

Everone is acting like NK is a joke and not a real threat. If SK went to war with NK with America's help of course SK would win but NK would do serious damage before it went down. Also China is an ally, of course to an extent, but still an ally. China says it supports NK because they support a country wanting to be self sufficient.

North Korea will not be able to conquer us. We conquered the British when they were the largest and best army in the world. Maybe a fallout, but not colonization.

No, NK is a real threat. A threatening threat, even. :P They're just a threat in a nuclear sense, to both SK and (eventually) the US. They just can't invade. An invasion of the US would literally go something like this:

*Troops land*
*Troops get out*
*Troops die*

There is always a possibility, the economy of the United States is falling and will go down drastically in a while, they are starting to struggle now with keeping that huge army, therefore I believe that in the future it could be possible. It is a great game too, too bad a sequel would take longer to arrive since THQ went bankrupt.

North Korea's economy is pretty much non-existent. We need to brace for the worsening economy, because everyone knows it's coming. But, even if our economy is as bad as it was in 1929, we'll still be better off than North Korea.
