Now this could mean many things but what if gay citizens had their own community where GAY only people lived. That way we can live how we want without people telling us that were wrong and that gay marriage is wrong. People who are homophobic can stay away. And yet gay people can still interact with the outside world at there own free will.

I see no harm in it. I think I read somewhere that there's an all-women community somewhere in the Middle East
That's the Middle East. Human rights aren't exactly respected there. So since there is no harm in gay communities. How about only straight communities? Or only Caucasian communities? Same exact principles.
I believe this is a form of discrimination and I do not support discrimination.

No, it's awful. We're just as normal as everyone else and don't need to separated. It will cause more problems. This is just a terrible idea. I know it's only fantasy, but it's stupid.

I agree, but not with this.
Heterophobia isn't good either.
I'm part of the LGBT community, apparently I disagree with the G :P

The idea of living in a world where there would be no one to object to your sexuality would be nice, but I don't think isolation is the right way to achieve this idea. It'd be a major step backwards for equality.
People shouldn't have to be isolated from the rest of society in order to feel comfortable and happy. Society needs to make room for different people.

Everyone is capable of making their own decisions, so if someone wanted to live in a community with gay people only, then let them.
I don't see a problem with it.

The intention is good. Very good, in fact. However, keeping them in semi-isolation is not good for society at large. While, yes, they can choose to interact with the outside world at their own will, being stuck inside your own little box doesn't do the mind any good. Integrating LGBT into society is much better than just giving them their own little space.

I disagree with this, what if where I live at the moment is close to my workplace, or to my family, or what if I enjoy living with heterosexual people. This sounds like a ghetto to me. Also the outside world should have to adapt and to change

Such thing already exists.
I support it to the point of having a place where I can go and hang out with people of my own sexual orientation, flirt with someone without overheating my gaydar or something like that.
Going to the point of moving to a gay only environment is an unthinkable solution to me.
When you think about it, you're actually proposing ghettoing ourselves...

Agreed, This is basically saying, you're different, you can't live among us. If we did that, why we're at it why don't we make communities for race, religion, and heck why not lets throw in social classes too... All I think of when I read this is the Holocaust, remember it all started out with Jews being separated into their own communities...

I think we're fine the way we are, with neighborhoods in cities emphasizing particular cultures while still being part of a larger city. In New York, if you want to flirt without overheating your gaydar then go to the Chelsea neighborhood, where there's a slightly better chance of you finding gay people. But at the same time you aren't segregated. But if someone wants to live in isolation only with other gay people then that's fine with them.

I have a problem with some gay people comparing their struggles to African American slavery. Also your gay? Be proud, why do you have to make a freaking parade about it?
