Does it count as self harm if you scratch your wrist do much it goes all red and leaves marks afterwards?
My wrist didn't bleed, it just has these little red marks on it now.

Well, everyone probably has their own definition of self-harm.
In my opinion, scratching yourself, with the intention of causing pain or whatever, would be self-harm, because you're trying to harm yourself.

Basically what Bo said. To me, self harm is, as the name implies, anything done to harm yourself. If you did it with intent of causing yourself pain, then it is self harm.

Get psychiatric help.
I used to be depressed and suicidal at one time, but seeing a counselor really helped me get over those problems.
So yeah, seeing a counselor/therapist, etc. could help you.
And if you ever need anyone to talk to, i'm almost always on here. :)

Technically it's still self harm. You're harming yourself. However, it's nothing to worry about. It's not as bad as cutting. I've done what you're talking about before, and it's not bad, it's just some red marks that actually go away pretty quickly. I've also done it to the point where my arm was bleeding, and that's a lot worse. Don't worry, just try not to do it again :)

Did you do it on purpose?

I am going to the school counsellor. But I'm reluctant to tell him because I'm scared he'll tell my parents.
