How much does it cost to get cut?

I just turn 18 and I want to get circumcised. :what:My mom said it cost 10000 dollars but when I did my research it only said 2000 dollars. How do I tell her I want to be circumcized and I want her to look for cheaper options?

Well, the way you tell her depends on one major thing. Do you intend on paying for the procedure, or do you expect her to pay for you getting a part of your penis hacked off?

Depends if you get local (area numbed) versus general (asleep) anesthesia. Local is less expensive $1500-$3500. General is at least $2000 more depending on urologist.

He isn't asking for your opinion on whether or not he should get circumcised, he asking for advice on how to ask for it... I got it done a few months ago, and am more than happy with the results. I had no medical reason for getting it done, or any penile issues at all for that matter, and I love how it's turned out.

u want to get it cut just because of looking different? u being uncut hvae over 20,000 more nerve endings because of htat sensitive skin and will never hvae to worry about losing feeling in the head from it being out and exposed and getting calloused from rubbing up against your clothes for the rest of your life. I would seriously think about the consequences before u lose all that sensitivity just over how you look compared to your friends. and chances are, they are probably jealous they dont have what you do!

I think it can vary widely, according to where you live and if you have local anesthesia or general and maybe the individual doctor. My circ last summer, with general anesthesia in Calif, cost about $2500 tho insurance covered it. It would have been about half that if Id had a local.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but the idea your dickhead gets calloused or like many say keratinized is just completely wrong and I've experienced both ways.
The diff between uncut and cut as far as that goes, is like the difference between the outside part of your lip which is dry and the inside part which stays wet. okay?

I know what you are saying. I was exactly the same. The hardest part for me was telling my parents how much I wanted it done. Finally one night I just came out with it. The next day they made an appointment and it was done within 2 weeks. I am so happy with the results and it was well worth what little pain there was. Insurance paid most of mine but I wanted it so bad I told my parents to use my birthday and Christmas sayings. Good luck and go for it. You will be pleased.

She's exaggerating. I mean, REALLY exaggerating. It won't cost you 10,000 bucks to get cut, it wouldn't even cost you 2,000. I'd say around a hundred or more. I'm not sure, because I didn't pay for my circumcision. And just an advice, don't get circumcised by yourself. Trust me, if you think you can travel the world alone in a canoe, this you can't do. When you get circumcised, make sure you have someone to help you during the recovery process.

No need to put you to sleep, you can tolerate it for sure.... It costs a lot... anesthesia is fine. In my place here it only cost less than a hundred. :) some of my friends got cut for 5bucks. :) and it's the neanderthal method. :] #justsharing

This, sir, is wrong. You have obviously have been either brainwashed, or wish to stay uneducated. Studies show that there is no difference in sensitivity, and that the health benefits from getting circumcised are absolutely worth it, check the CDC, and well respected urologists that were once anti-circ. the facts simply prove you wrong, as well as the personal testimonies from guys that were circumcised in their teen years, as well as the testimonies from adults that wear circumcised in their early 30's to late 40's, as they have experienced it both ways, and were sexually active in both ways as well.
