No that's a bad habit I have but I would consider it self harm(if thats truly why you asked here)

It's not weird, it's common, but it's not a great habit to make. If you catch yourself doing it, try to stop. Seeing as you posted it in the self harm forum, I'm guessing you are doing it to purposely cause damage. It can turn ugly. You can get some serious tissue damage and infection if it goes to far. It can also turn into a compulsion, where you have to do it. Not just an addiction, worse than that. Addictions are easier to control than compulsions. Stop while you're ahead, not that you've recognized it, you should try to get a hold of it before it turns nasty.

I'm assuming, because you posted this thread under self harm, that you bite your lip in order to cause pain upon your self?

While it is normal to bite your lip (not necessarily with the intention of causing harm), it's not advisable. I'm sure you could very easily cause tissue damage, possibly infection, and scarring.

No I don't think so, I do it a lot too. It's usually up until it bleeds, but still, it's pretty common.
