I'm sure most of you along with me would agree that jfk was a good president but recently I was thinking JFK was probably one of the worst guys out there, prob stuck up and an ass but mostly because he cheated on jackie kennedy so mich that she shouldn't be buried next to him, she had to beg him not to divorce of course this all happened the same year he died, so what do you think? Do you think jfk is an ass

I think JFK was the man that any of us would have been in his situation. He was a stereotypical champagne democrat, he never had to work to survive. His father was a very rich man who wanted the white house and when he fucked it up by appearing to be pro german he then decided that he wanted his oldest son Joe Jnr to be president but after he was killed in '44 it fell to JFK. In all fairness he fought and evaded enemy capture in the pacific and showed amazing levels of determination. Then he became a senator in 52' and then on he was in line for the white house. He was young, attractive and had a lot of charm. This meant he could have nearly any women in america. He didn't treat Jackie well but she loved him and he loved her. The affairs were just part of him. He wasn't an ass at all, he was a man who had addisons for his whole life. If you want a slime bag from that era there were men who were a lot worse.

I think everyone is entitled to thier opinion...and what you posted is yours.
my opinion is this - JFK was a great President and whatever he did in his personal life is just that....was between him and Jackie. sooo none of anyones business.

Everyone makes mistakes in marriage. What about Bill Clinton, he cheated on his wife? Just because he's rich doesn't mean he was stuck up. To other people who wasn't of his wealth he might've seemed stuck up, but probably cause they didnt have money.
I don't think that people of 2 different wealth classes mix well, because they have different problems or different stories. Like for one person whos wealthy if he were to say "Yeah I got a pretty good discount on my Rolls Royce, it was only $285,000 instead of $300,000" to a person who makes $50,000 a year, that may seem like that person is bragging. Where as if he said that same sentence to a guy of the same wealth status the guy might say "Wow that's a nice little discount you got!"
So people of the same class will think that's a nice little deal, whereas people who make a lot less would think he's bragging. When it reality it's not, it'd be comparable to saying "Yeah I got a new F-150 for only $32,000 instead of $40,000". So no, I don't think he was stuck up just cause he was rich. People probably just misunderstood different situations. People may also think he's stuck up because he's not relatable.

I don't think you can judge someones job based on his personal life

He wasn't the first U.S. president to cheat. There is an interesting correlation between the most successful presidents over the past 80 years and those that have had extramarital affairs. Franklin Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, and Bill Clinton all had extramarital affairs before or during their terms of office Even Jimmy Carter, Doesn't make them bad

He was an adulterer. That is bad. It is personally dishonest and a sign of a lack of personal integrity. As a person, he was not admirable. As a president, he wasn't awful.
