i have never used skype and i tryed to set up an account but i have no idea what i am doing. any help???

If you have downloaded the software and installed it on your computer then it should give you the option to sign in or create an account when you have skype open.

Or - https://login.skype.com/account/signup-form

and just enter your details on the skype installed on your computer.

Alternatively, you may sign in with an MSN/Hotmail/Windows Live account;

In the login window there should be a link called "Messenger Account", under Alternatively sign in;

You should also see you can log in with Facebook, too.

Signing up for Skype may look intimidating, but it can be very simple! If you don't want to supply a lot of personal information, you do not need to.

If you go to the link George (xDarkAngelx) posted, it will take you to the spot where you can create a Skype account (alternatively, you could do as Rayquaza explained). There are many places to supply information. This can be used for identification when trying to contact friends. You do not need to supply all of this information. All that you HAVE to give Skype to create an account is the following:
~First Name
~Last Name
~E-mail
~Language you speak
~Country you live in
And create:
~Username
~Password

You can fill in additional information if you would like.

Then just type in the squiggly letters in the box at the bottom and you are all signed up!

It then, I believe, takes you to the download page if you need to download Skype. It should give you directions there.

Then all you need to do once it is open is login and then add you friends via their Skype usernames! :)
