Recently I lost my brother in a car accident... He was really great. I miss him... But I am making this in detication to him. I encourage everyone to do the same.

I, Shawna West, promise to Kendall that I will stop and never cut or self harm again.

May sound crazy but I started cutting again after my best friend committed suicide, but I realized that If he was still alive he'd be doing everything he could to stop me, we helped each other through our issues and even after he's gone he continues to do the same.
After this I too took that pledge, in his memory.
I'm very sorry to hear about your bother, from your signature, he sounds like great guy. I'm glad you've decided to stop cutting and I with you all the best with your pledge and the future.

As much as I wish I could, it's really not that simple and it would be breaking this pledge which is not just an Internet forum thing, it's a commitment I make to myself, but I'm really proud of you for trying to stop.
