Favorite Disney Movie ?

What's your favorite Disney Movie, actual or animated ???

Mine is The Little Mermaid, love the music in it and the characters.

Very difficult question indeed.

Because if you ask me any other specific question, like favourite princess, favourite villain, they'll always come from a variety of them and not just one. I don't know if it's possible to choose just one.

Like, Maleficent makes Sleeping Beauty, but beyond her it's just the same traditional story and not much special about the Disney version. The Little Mermaid was cocaine to me as a child, but even though she's a redhead, I find Ariel a little annoyingly dim-witted, even though her sort of spirit and bright-eyed outlook is refreshing for a leading Disney lady. The Hunchback of Notre Dame I adore more as an adult than I did as a child, because it's one of those Disney movies we'll never see again: Disney will never be that dark. Or even in general as dark as it used to be. Strangely enough, you'd think they'd push the limits in the modern age, but when it comes to cartoons, we're getting more conservative.

Anyway. Meg is one of my favourite leading ladies but since I studied Greek Mythology, I can't stand the movie. And my final honourable mention is Mulan, having seen that one during it's theatrical release (well, not like that means much. I saw Barney's Great Adventure during its theatrical release) just because of more badassery from a leading lady.

However, enduring all that, I'm most prone to say Pocahontas, without thinking too long on the subject, is pushing for the title.
