When a guy is going through puberty he is experiencing raging hormones, and has a lot of sexual tension, and to get rid of the tension he will masturbate. It has nothing to do with being exposed to pornography at a young age.

no dude i masturbated before i even really knew what porn was... the main reason that we go through puberty is so we can make babies, and the way we do that is by having sex, so its just kinda burnt into our brains. we are constantly making sperm, and so we eventually have to get rid of some of it, and we need to either have orgasms or wet dreams to do it, so eventually boys will be driven to masturbation just from the instinct that we have to have sex.

I think it depends on the person.

Puberty has a major influence because hormones will be going crazy so to speak. Whereas a high exposure to pornography from an early age might just make you more visual when depict sex.
