Yea as Mike said, it would most likely make camming and accessing people's personal info easier, which isn't good for the site.

Because we can feel free to make offsite contact without any consequences leaving VT liable, and rather, our own decision. It's because oovoo is strictly video chat and other mobile messaging apps are used a lot more for inappropriate purposes. Besides, if we didn't, we wouldn't have VT friends on Facebook due to the rules.
