Yesterday, In school, I skipped lunch. That is very unlike me. I am always hungry, always eating, and I am fat. I know that. So when I told my friend that I skipped lunch to…ugh…lose weight, she completely freaked at me. She was comparing it to how in Glee, Marley collapsed from not eating.
Was she overreacting, or was she right?

Well, she's kinda right. It isn't right skipping lunch to lose weight. Hmm, I'm fat as well. I lost weight, however, by eating a little compared to how I eat before. And exercise, of course. ;)

Yeah, your friend is right.
Also, you are more likely to lose MORE weight from eating a healthy diet - a balanced meal 3 times a day - and exercising than you are if you just skip meals or don't eat at all!
Change your snacks at break and lunch from crisps and chocolate to fruit, yoghurt and nuts and instead of choosing the burgers and chips at lunch, choose a salad or a pasta dish :)

Yey! This helped me, too! :) Thanks! <3

Slight overreaction, but she was right to be concerned.
As a user above me pointed out, you'll lose weight far easier by eating proper meals. If you don't eat enough, your body will go into 'starvation mode,' which will make it harder to lose weight and keep it off.

It's harder to lose weight if you eat less. She was right.
