A tutorial video about how to get around?

Maybe VT could have a tutorial video on getting around VT. Like the basics such as how to post, make threads, view threads made, and quote posts and change profile picture. When I first came on I found it difficult and confusing doing different stuff. So yeah, that's my idea.

If it was In like the introduction section. They'd see a video title or something

It's a very good idea. Unfortunately, in reality, most new members probably wouldn't view it. I'm sure you've seen all the stickies in the the puberty forum and even in other forums. What do some (usually new) members tend to do? Post what was in one of the stickies.

And plus, not all people post in the introduction section.

or when a new user sings, up they automatically receive a PM with the video.

We already automatically PM new users to the FAQ, and they don't read it. I don't think they'd be so inclined to sit back and watch a 10-15 minute video about how to use a forum, either. For the most part it's kind of self-explanatory, but usually people will just rush to ask questions before trying to figure things out :P

It is a good idea though. I mean I did the guide on the screenshot thing, but this would be much more in depth, and really, all the answers would be right here (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_board_faq#faq_vb3_board_usage). But it could definitely be something to consider, I think.

I like the idea of the video, I mean instead of having it in the introductory section why not have the video embedded into the welcome private message. I think people would probably watch a video rather than read a wall of text. It would also benefit people with reading difficulties as well because people reading difficulties would find it challenging to read a wall of text like FAQ.
