Does anyone know of free good VPNs for android?

Not really, you can't guarantee the security of any VPN.

I'd recommend buying a low end server for like £15 a year, you can get a 256mb RAM for this. Then install OpenVPN onto it, and use your own server.

I dont think you understand what im saying. i want a VPN that will allow me to browse the sites that my school block ETC: Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr. so on and so forth. and i want it on my phone

Then a VPN (Virtual Private Network), isn't what you're looking for :P

From what you're described, you're looking for a proxy. However, most schools block reliable proxies for this very reason.

Thats the point. there are apps that are VPNs ive seen them. and i know they work. but they were for iphones and i couldnt find them for android. so im asking is there one which works and is for android

You can use a VPN in a similar way to a proxy. There are VPN client apps for a range of operating systems.

Why not just use 3G in school? ...

My school is conveniently placed on a dead zone.

There is one called "SecurityKISS". I wouldn't trust it for sensitive information, but if you're just looking to watch a YouTube video or two now and again, it works quite well.
