I loved Backstreet Boys, but as said above, that's where it ended for me. I still kind of secretly enjoy them, but that's it.

I agree, Boy Bands are an outdated trend that doesn't need to come back.

I like some of the 1D boys, though. They seem like cool guys, but that's all I can really say for them.

I've never really been a fan of boy bands, or "bands" where no one actually plays an instrument. I'd rather listen to a good rock band with an average singer, than 5 guys dancing around in sync (pun intended) singing "oooh baby" over and over.

I have to admit I like JT as a solo singer, though. When he's not in a "boy band."

I wouldn't label The Beatles as a boy band. Unlike other "boy bands" like One Direction, Backstreet Boys, and NKOTB...The Beatles actually wrote music and played instruments.

The Beatles were the first rock and roll superstars. Kind of a difference, at least to me.

This definition comes from wiki, not the greatest source, I know, but I don't think many people would disagree with it:

A boy band (or boyband) is loosely defined as a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation. Being vocal groups, most boy band members do not play musical instruments, either in recording sessions or on stage, making the term somewhat of a misnomer. However, exceptions do exist. Most boy bands dance as well as sing, usually giving highly choreographed performances.

That is so not The Beatles.
