Why are these girls acting like this all of a sudden???

I just recently came out to my class mates at school in a poem I've written (for an assignment) and a good amount of people now know I'm a lesbian. Ever since then, I've been getting diffrent vibes from straight girls and some of my friends. now they flirt with me, give me hugs, and occasionally touch my butt. I can't really tell if their serious or just being... Awkwardly friendly because sometimes they laugh and crack jokes behind these acts. This makes me really confused about how my friends really feel about me. What should I do? Should I just go along with this and let it happen? And I believe (not sure) that they are straight so I can't really get too far with them (I don't think). What should I do?! Please help.

Well it all depends on how comfortable you are around them and if you have any attraction for them. If you feel uncomfortable then tell them that. No one should be treated differently because they came out. On the other hand some of them might be bi-curious. If you're into that kind of stuff you could help them discover themselves (if ya know what I mean). That might be what they want, someone to experiment with. And then there's the less favorable not so nice possibility. I'm not gonna sugar coat it because it's bound to happen but they might be trying to get you to flirt with them so they can make fun of you. Straight girls sometimes will flirt with lesbians, but if the lesbians flirt back... the straight girls act all offended. Don't let them trap you into that. So I would definitely find their motive and then act, but don't do anything until you're sure what their intentions are. Good luck hun! :)
