If you explore the origins of the term rock and roll, it will be easier. The words can go back to medieval times up to the twenties and have somewhat the same meaning. Simply put, Rock is associated with dancing and roll is associated with sex. In medieval days rock meant sporadic movement and roll meant to have sex. in the twenties it was called rocking and rolling. Basically, dance and then have sex.
