Brains or Beauty?

Let's try one of these here, Brains or Beauty?

I definitely want Brains in a relationship. Beauty appeals to all of us I pretty sure, but Brains makes it all work. It's whats inside that really matters, that is what is going to communicate with me, take care of me, understand my feelings, make me happy and ultimately love me.

i think its not that simple. i obviously like someone because of their personality but i wont be attracted with a girl that looks like a troll from lord of the rings. i think the two are needed for people to be attracted and ultimately end up liking someone. in a relationship the two people involved have to connect on more than one level so i dont think that you could just put it as simple as that.

Umm. It's hard to say only brains, because there's got to be something attractive about the person (not conventionally, but I can't just love them for their mind) but I can't stand only beauty and no brains.

Someone will need to keep me fed when I inevitably turn into a zombie because of my lack of sufficient survival skills. Might as well be someone I care about and vice versa. ;)

Brains are important after all who wants to date an idiot. For me there has to be a balance of several factors which would include intelligence, personality, sense of humor, compassion, empathy and honesty. Looks aren't all that important as long as he dosen't have a third eye or something like that

It would be difficult for me to choose just one of those characteristics, each of them have their benefits.
So i'd choose a mixture of both.

Beauty is just the packaging that everything else is wrapped up in. I know this is a simplistic comparison, but when you buy somethin at the store, you don't even keep the the packaging, no matter how cool it might look. That being said, as long as the brains are accompanied by humor, compassion, and all those other necessary things, and the person doesn't look like Baba Yaga or something, brains wins over beauty every time.

I'd like to say brains but, honestly, it's the looks that attract me. So, I have to say beauty.

However, once you have been with someone for a long time, it really doesn't matter how he or she looks, I guess. I think that after a while, you have to have someone that's your friend, someone that you like because of his or hers personality. So, yes, at the beggining, beauty is very important but at the end brains are more important.

I prefer brains...I want someone to (not saying im a genius) meet me on my level and at times go beyond that level to challenge me intellectually and mentally. I like looks, but a person who is a 10 on the looks scale may not be a 10 on the compatibility scale and you may be wasting your time.
