I'm a teen guy (18) and currently learning how to drive. No girls seem to like me and I see them going in cars with other guys from my school. I just don't understand, i'm just worried if I end up not driving for my full life, I won't have a girlfriend at all. I'm not sure what to do.

So do teenage girls (around 17-18) like guys more than friends who don't drive?

Trust me, a car is not what is on the top of list of things girls look for.

Honestly, yes, it is a factor. Having a license is grown up, it shows independence, it's cool, if they have they're own car, it's show financial stability, and it's convenient for them, because they can be taken places by them instead of public transport, or walking, or their parents.

But if you have a license, and you're a major asshole, you're not going to meet any nice girls. Chances are they're going to be major assholes too.

Being yourself, and being a general good person is going to attract more girls than a car. Showing a little interest, and taking initialize helps, it makes them feel special and wanted. Most girls will wait for someone else to make the first move because of awful gender stereotypes.

If you're interested in someone, ask them to hang out, not a date at first unless you think the situation is right, but just show them you want to be around them.

And be yourself. Always be yourself. Be confident in who you are, because you who you are is awesome.

Don't know what else to say, this is perfect. I could care less about a car.

I agree If a girl likes you for the kind of car your driving it's proably not ging to be the kind of relationship your looking for and there will always be someone that drives a better one so where does that leave you. I can't speak for all girls but i place this in the same catagorey as guys and their penis obsession. maybe thats where the saying comes from that if a guy has to have an expensive car to get a girl he must be small in the pants. Niether is true of course.

I'm not talking about having a type of car. I'm talking about cars in general (all types of cars). No girls who I know care about the type of car.

I'm just wondering if teen girls like guys more than friends who drive and guys who don't drive girls like only as friends.

I don't think there is any connection with how most girls feels about a guy based on his having a licence to drive or the lack of one or influences her decision to date someone if he owns a car or not. There are always exceptions

I'm sorry to say I actually know a couple girls at my school who think it does matter to be seen with the right guy based on status symbols such as what he drives and where he lives.

..never heard of relationships being affected if someone could drive or not...?

A car isn't the top thing they look for, trust me. Yes, I have my full license...and a car...but that's not why my gf is going out with me...she even said so herself. We like the fact that if we want to, at lunch, we can go out for the hour and talk..just us with no one to but in or bother us. It's nice. But it's not everything (:
