You should start losing weight. I'm not going to lie being overweight makes you less attractive and less chance of getting a girlfriend. It won't be a 0% chance but you are at a disadvantage than skinner people. Start running and eating better and start drinking water. Then your weight won't be an insecurity anymore. Some girls do like big guys and some don't care, but losing weight will make you look 150% better. So looking better with a good personality will make you more attractive to girls. :)

couldn't agree more. although its shallow and what ever, its a fact. some girls won't even look at overweight people for a bf. losing weight would certainly be a good idea.

Umm... I'm 15 and the average weight around my school is 130-150. Not 160-170. Weights like 170 are more like adult weights (like we're 135 now but when we're in our
20's we'll be like 175).

Height matters more than age average.

I'd say that it's the whole package that matters most, so, yes, if you're really overweight it might get in the way. Aside from the social impact here, you'll feel alot better and be healthier if you take off the weight. You might want to lookmat both your diet and exercise habits and modify them slowly and consistently. The goal is long term behavioral change, not just crash dieting.

How tall are you? I'll be seventeen in about two weeks, I'm 6'3, and I only weight about 155. That seems to be the normal range for people my size. If you want to lose weight, you can just expect it to melt away while you sit around watching TV. You should start running and get a gym membership or something if you're serious about it.

Not only will losing weight probably help you get a girlfriend, but it will also boost your self-esteem and allow you to feel a bit better in yourself, and when you feel better in yourself, it shows. :)
