In the UK, r there any doctors that you can go too without your parents knowing. If not there should be because I think a lot more things would be discovered and cured earlier.

Your parents have a right to know what is wrong with you. You are a kid, not an adult. You don't need the responsibility of dealing with doctors and your health care on your own. There's no need to be a wimp about it. These are your parents for goodness sake. There's no one else on Earth that loves and cares for you and who can provide you the help you need.

You shouldn't have to pay for it. The NHS should pay for it. It should be for minor things but I always think if it something big tell your parents
No disrespect to Anthony, but have you seen the state of some of the UKs familys today???

Lol if its something minor then it shouldn't a big deal to tell them. Your parents aren't going to laugh at you. They basically are the ones you can trust the most. Don't lose out on that.

Sure, but
1) By something small i mean a pain 'down there' etc.
2) What for the children who can't talk to their parents for a reason.
3) Children get embarrased. Irational, but true. So how many small, curable things go un diagnosed and become a big problem.

Well I'm moving this to the debate forum because I don't think this is quite suited for Puberty for boys.
"Mom/Dad, I've been having pain down there for the past few days. Can you schedule an appointment for me for the doctor?"
Now is that really hard? If they are children they don't have transportation for the doctor and are already supervised by their parents. Really its so simple to tell your parents rather than taking matters into your own hands. Young Teens can't handle such responsibility that's why we have parents in the first place.

I think in the UK its a case of if you are 16 or over you can go without your parents knowing. But I am sure you could actually go if you are younger though.

Sorry. I typed the question wrong. I meant do you think we should have these services in place?
To Anthony; Look me in the eyes and tell me you were never to embarased to tell your parents something.
To Redcar; Thanks, you actually answered my question!!!!

I think the response to this needs to take into consideration the OP's comfort level discussing certain matters with his parents, and that should be respected. Afterall, we don't know the specifics of his relationship. Maybe he doesn't feel comforrtable discussing things with his folks, and people like this still need advice on how to access proper medical care, even if they're minors.
I'm not sure how the NHS works, but here in the Colonies most kids have a pediatrician. If you have a doctor that routinely cares for your medical needs, you might pick up the tele and give him a ring and discuss whatever ails you. Then, he could suggest ways of you getting to him, if that's the case.

Maybe not in your country
they are here
I've gone to the doc without my parents knowing
not because i gave a dam just cause they were busy
nobody cared
your doctor can tell your parents whats wrong if theres implications or its serious up until the age of 17 here
once your 17 your not legally an adult but your treated as such
doctor patient confidentiality
If your dicks bugging you just run up to your dad and be like "I think its broken! I need ta see a doc!"
