So I don't know how many of you know this but this Friday is Self Harm awareness day, March 1st. I was wondering if anyone was going to do anything. I want to, depending on how much things on my forearm have healed by then, go sleeveless for the day and I might wear a little makeup to tone down the purple-ness of my scars.

You've got to be really brave to go with short sleeves. I don't have the balls to do that. I'll probably try to make everyone who is down smile or give three of my friends that self harm a special bracelet made by me. Any suggestions anyone?

I've actually been planning this day for a while now. I'm going to wear some orange ribbons around my sleeves. (So I don't have to take off my jacket) And an orange shirt. It's cool that you're going to wear short sleeves. I wish I was that brave. Good luck!

I'm going to go around with Perfect_Insanity, screaming at people who are wearing orange XD In all seriousness, I'm going to go out and wear a lot of orange.

Thanks for that but it all depends on how well they have healed by Friday and if I can get them covered enough with makeup to make it bare able. Hopefully it goes good for you all too, :)

Actually I didn't knew. I think I'll make some lines on my hands, and say stay strong to every one.
I wish I Yap brave enough to go sleeveless :p
Don't want to go off topic, but why are you all going with orange?

If I had anything orange, I'd wear it. I don't know how else to show my support for others who struggle with what I do, especially since I don't want anyone to know that I self harm. Maybe I'll write something like "stay strong" on my wrists in pen/marker.

Orange is the official color they picked, like pink represents breast cancer. They encourage you to wear orange shirts, wristbands, ect.

Currently wearing about 30+ orange "silly bands" and an orange ribbon around my neck. Sadly enough, I haven't seen a single person in my school wearing orange.. oh well..

I got in arguemnt woth a friend about how they were all like "OMG it's justoin biebers birthday" and I'm like "It's actually self harm awareness day. Maybe you should be more supportive of that. You've all lived sheltered lives, bnever been exposed to the horror that is self harm. I have two best friednns who slef harm. And they need to know people are there for them. So it may be justion biebers birthday, but be aware of slef harm please."

Yeah, I didn't see anyone either other than you. (I'm not creepy, your first class is just right next to my locker.)

I didn't bother this year mostly 'cause I only have the one class and the rest of my day is spent at home. That and I forgot. Oh and I loathe the colour orange. I have partially ginger hair though so can I pretend I joined you all?

I bought a couple of SI Awareness wristbands from LifeSigns so at least if people asked I could tell them and get the word out. I hate facebook today because of the shitty annoying status' from people who don't even know what the fuck they're on about. You also get the 'ooooh attention seeker' status' from the dickheads so yeah, it's not all good.

Thanks :)
Me and a friends of mine wrote Stay strong with orange pen on school boards :P It was funny, although most of our peers did not understud.
