I love moral dilemmas, they are one of my favorite things to talk about. So I thought I might post some of my favorites and see what you guys would do?
Dilemma #1:
A pregnant woman leading a group of people out of a cave on a coast is stuck in the mouth of that cave. In a short time high tide will be upon them, and unless she is unstuck, they will all be drowned except the woman, whose head is out of the cave. Fortunately, (or unfortunately,) someone has with him a stick of dynamite. There seems no way to get the pregnant woman loose without using the dynamite which will inevitably kill her; but if they do not use it everyone will drown. What should they do?
Dilemma #2:
You take a 2 week cruise in the Gulf of Mexico. Suddenly in the middle of the shark infested water, the captain informs the passengers that there are some techinical dificulties and you must abandon ship. As you make your way to the life raft you meet up with 4 friends that you met during the cruise. You all board the same raft along with an elderly woman, a young couple and their 3 month old baby, and a young woman that won the cruise in a raffle. Upon being lowered into the water. The raft slams into the side of the boat an puts a hole in the side. You quickly figure that the boat can only stay afloat if one person is left behind. If no one is left behind then everyone will be left to the sharks. What do you do?

Dillema 2- I am off. Everyone else deserves a chance at life, I would be fine dead.

In the first scenario, as long as the group has more than two people in it, you should use the dynamite.
In the second, ask if anyone volunteers. If no one does, pick someone at random.

1- Blow up the pregnant lady :D
2- I'd probably sacrifice myself, but logically it should be the old lady

Totally random fucking situation, try again.

Allow the younger passengers to take turns in the water to keep the raft afloat. After a set amount of time, one person takes the other's place to rest up and hope the other doesn't get ripped in half by a shark. That way, everyone has an equal chance to be saved, even though it's still taking a chance of dying.

The first scenario is ludicrous. How did the pregnant woman get into the cave in the first place?
In the second scenario, my friends and I taking turns in the water seems to be the most moral choice.

1- The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
2- Kill me. The others are more deserving of the cruise, and deserve to continue life.

Dilemma 1: Blow the bitch up! lol jk :P but yes, use the dynamite.
Dilemma 2: Although I LOVE all old people (most) I have to say that the old woman gets left behind. She's seen her life, she would only have a few more years left. Whereas everyone else has their life ahead of them.

For #1 I'd have to kill the pregnant woman
For #2 I'd probably choose the young woman or elderly woman

These are HORRIBLE things and thinking of blowing up two people or a whole group is horrible as especially with the two people one has not even had their chance at life yet :'(
But i would say the pregnant lady like using the dynamite as more people would be saved.
And for the shark one i know everyone is saying take in turns or just yourself, But the old lady most probably, Like she has lived out most of her days now, A lot of family would miss her and i feel awful for saying it but others have more of a chance, I would say the lady who won the raffle but she is still young!

What right do you have to choose someone else to die when you could choose yourself?
