My girlfriend and I saw a movie the other day and she wanted me too kiss her. Well I've never kissed anyone so I completely froze up and didn't kiss her or anything. Really awkward moment after that. So what I'm asking is... How does one go about kissing someone?

Just let it happen. But if you really aren't ready, then tell her you just aren't ready yet. If she likes you, then she will understand.

The first kiss is always a little awkward so your not alone there and the only way i know of to improve is with practice. As to how to go about it I have to agree with the others that if you think about it too much it's just going to make it harder than it need to be.

The only advise I can offer is be gentle Light pressure ussually works best and don't pucker or slober girls hate that.
