I was sitting around with Dad listening to some of his old records, Physical Graffiti to be exact. Now my stereo is made by Apple and sits on my night stand, his on the other hand, takes up a lot of room. This all I can tell you, 2 of them are called ampzilla, the radio is pioneer, turntable is thorens and the speakers are these big cube shape Bose. I find it cool that stereo systems were this big. Do they even make stuff like this any more?

I think they still do make stereos like that. My dad's an audiophile and in the music room, surrounding my piano, is his stereo system. Some of the equipment seems fairly modern, so yes.

They still make that sort of equipment. It's not really common to find them at many stores, Best Buy might have the components for them. I have a system like that in my room, and the newest item is my receiver from 2006.

When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like
Two balloons
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain
You would not understand
This is not how I am
I....have become comfortably numb.
Favorite group and my #1 song of all times.
Live Pulse was best video
Take care

I'm sure they do. You might have to check the internet though. Or listen to the others, who are much more educated than me.

YES! they definitely do! Being a music producer, I'm always looking for a good stereo system. They sell components that you hook up to make a big system, but because everybody has an iPod or phone now, speaker docks are much more popular and easy.

Yeah, they definitely do. My system pretty big, it's a mix of everything from what my uncle gives to me (works for Harman/Kardon so upgrades his system all the time) and what I have to buy. Either way, none of my stuff is more than 2 years old.
My receiver is a H/K which takes up a fair bit of my TV Cabinet, with an Optima turntable, plus a H/K sound bar set up along the front and mounted on my walls for surround and centre sound, which are pretty small, but my speakers are by Pioneer and are floor standing and are about 1.2 metres high and 40cm wide, coupled with a Pioneer sub about 48x48 centimetres (Pioneer was going pretty cheap, and it's decent sound).
Takes up more room than I'd like but until I stop spending money on other things, I won't be upgrading to more slimline gear.
