Hey guys, so last month I told this really pretty Spanish girl that goes to my school that I like her. We were really good friends until I told her, now everything including sitting next to her at lunch feels awkward.
Is it just me, or should I stop trying to get her to like me?

To be honest try to flirt a bit and see what happens. It could go really well and it could turn in to a relationship. But if the doesn't work then try to stay friends and move on to some one else. The worst she can do is say no so you might as well give it try

Why awkward? Did she tell you that she didn't feel the same way? How has she changed towards you since you told her you like her?
Sorry for asking so many questions but it would be helpful to know these things in order to give you any advise on how to proceed. You mentioned you were really good friends before has this changed as well because if she was a really good friend she must have liked you in some way.

She did say that she liked me more as a friend, and when I try to talk to her or tease her how I used to she doesn't react the same way.

Not sure how to take that, so I would try more communication. I would tell how things seems different since you said that and ask her if when you said you liked her, if that bothered her. If it did, let her know you don't want to ruin your friendship. Communication usually goes a long ways, sometimes it isn't what you want to hear, but it beats dwelling on it. You should just tell her what you told us. Good Luck Nick.

I guess that clears it up some and like I have said before in other post You can't always choose how someone feels Toward you. I'm not going to tell you that in time things will go back the way before you told her you liked her because in her view things are different now that she knows you have stronger feelings for her than she does for you. Just be the best friend you can be to her.

I would say don't flirt with this girl. When you tell a friend that you like them as more than a friend, you always run the risk of making things weird between you. She already gave you her answer, so it would be unwise to pursue anything beyond friendship. If you act toward her the way you always have in the past, maybe your friendship will become "normal" again, but if you flirt and pursue anything more, I can practically guarantee you that it won't. Good luck, man.

If she's better off being friends than be friends. Just communicate more with her and don't bring up "Relationships" or anything. I know people said to flirt with her, and personally, I wouldn't. Go back to being friends and communicate more, and if it doesn't work out, oh well, Fate has someone out there waiting for you that's even better than this girl.

If you told her so what is her reaction about it after that . I think she will also like you and wanted to talk with you .

The same thing happened with one of my bestfriends in middle school. It was awkward after but few weeks later, we were back to normal. Just give it a little time
