Hey guys just a quick question... i am getting to the point where i need to shave everyday now, my facial hair is kinda weird, it is real thick like around the moustache, goatee, and sideburns/jawline but real patchy on the cheeks but what comes in is real thick, plus i have light skin and dark hair, and it just seems like i cant get a close shave. i used to use an electric, it wasnt great so i switched and tried one of those with the 4 blades. i usually do it in the shower, use lots of shaving cream, and use new blades every 2 weeks but i just dont get that real smooth look and feel.

I think you need new blades - maybe every few days.
have you tried a moisturiser or balm - that can help.
Anyways my tips but I dont have to shave every day yet. but this wors for my bros.
Rinse a flannel in warm / hot water hold to face repeat several times.
apply shave gel - shave but go slow allow the blade to cut.
rinse splash on cold - dry - apply moisturiser after say minimum of 10 minutes.
My eldest bro also shaves with downward cuts then an upwards stroke he says it really get smooth -
hope this helps

Exactly what I was gonna say. What brand of razors and cream do you use?

Try shaving with the two blade rasors because those things always seem to give a closer cut that those rasors with multiple blades.
I agree with the others that you ought to try some pre-shave lotions, too, to make your facial hair stand up so that it can get cut lower giving you a smooth face.
