Okay so this is going to sound really bad, but twitter is super confusing for me. I look at the post on there and it looks like a foreign language. Hopefully someone can answer my questions.

1. What is the point of hashtags in a tweet? And how do they work?

2. How does a retweet work? I know you can retweet something that you find interesting. But I was on sampepper's twitter, and there were tweets directed at him on the page that shows HIS tweets. Like under the tweet that is directed at sam pepper, it says retweeted by sam pepper. I don't get why he would retweet something about him.

Hash tags are so you can see what other people have tweeted with the same hash tag

Hashtags just tag your tweet with a query. For example, if I added "#Oscars" to my tweet, I could click on the tag and see a bunch of other tweets from people who have also added that tag.

Retweets are tweets from other people, that you have RE-tweeted onto your timeline to share with your followers. People retweet anything they find funny, including tweets that other people have sent them, if they wish to share it with their followers.

1. Hashtags are just concise ways of restating what you said before and ,like what was said above, they are searchable.
2. Retweets are ways for other people to say they like a tweet, in addition to favoriting it.
