I just recently noticed this after I got out of the shower. I'm three months away from sixteen and have been going through puberty ever since ten/eleven years old. My question is does your penis grow new blood veins during the course of puberty? The new one I noticed is a lot smaller then the one I've had for as long as I remember, it runs along and crosses the bigger one and on top of that when I run my finger along it its not soft but very firm, like its almost a solid. Could it be that there is too much blood flow in it? Or is it something else I must be worried about? To tell you the truth, I am worried as hell right now. I haven't noticed any changes in my penis's performance though. It still erects. I haven't masturbated ever since I found out I had the second vein so I don't know about that.

There is no reason to worry about it. As It grows, the way It looks may change. Dont worry about It:)

You don't suddenly grow new veins. They may become visible for the first time, but they were always there. It's nothing to worry about.

Carole and Yuri are both right. Its nothing to worry about, your penis may change physically throughout puberty (i.e. it may look different), but there it will never grow new blood vessels or anything like that. As I said, there is nothing to worry about, as long as there's no pain or anything like that, you're fine.

Thanks everyone, I checked on it several hours later and it disappeared, so yeah, I don't think I should worry about it.

i dont really think veins can be grown, but they do most likely enlarg when blood is rushing thru them. and they might pop out more or less depends. its normal.

Recent studies have shown that cancer medicine aimed at inhibiting the vascular endothelial growth factor (VGEF) protein actually promotes tumor growth, by making the blood vessels cancerous cells build stronger and almost normal. Seeing how the tumor needs blood to feed itself, doctors thought that cutting their blood supplies would kill them. But, apparently, inhibiting VGEF is not the way to do it, as, in some cases, further investigations showed that tumors actually progressed. So There is no reason to worry about it.
