Ubuntu for Phones, and Tablets is in the very early stages of development. With time, it will mature, and prosper. Ubuntu, in general is a solid Operating System, and in terms of their presence on the Internet, and Stability, they are backed by Canonical, so they have the funding to push perks out to their end users, like their App Market, Updates, and other services. Give it some time to mature, before you make your final judgement. :D
