Since you mean tobacco smoking, I'm assuming. Yes. Actually, I'm pretty sure anything you smoke can be classified as a drug... Hmm...
Isn't our system funny that some drugs are okay but others are too bad? Can't we just make up our mind?

Smoking is not a drug, you can smoke herbal blends, and other things that have no effects but taste good. Though smoking CIGARETTES is a drug, just like if you smoke weed, or meth, or any other drug. If you're asking if smoking tobacco is a drug then yes it is, because tobacco contains nicotine which is a drug.

Smoking is an action.
Smoking cigarettes is also an action.
Smoking cigarettes will put in your system a drug known as nicotine. That's the drug.

Agreed smoking is an action not a drug and the tobacco is NOT a drug. The nicotine in the tobacco is the drug. Tobacco is just the delivery system for the nicotine. Nicotine is a stimulant and is fairly harmless. However, smoking tobacco as your delivery system for the nicotine will eventually cause disease and cancer. The nicotine DOES NOT cause the cancer, the smoking does. So if you got the nictone from a gum or patch it would be better than smoking tabacco.

Yes it is.
My mate was smoking last night and he put loads of tobacco into it and went all light headed cause of the nicotine.

I suppose it technically is, considering that it contains nicotine.
You could argue that smoking is an action, but I'm assuming you're specifically talking about smoking cigarettes.

You obviously mean cigarettes.
Smoking is the actual action of using a cigarette.
Yes, they are drugs. They have Nicotine in them, which is a drug.

Smoking, no. What you're smoking, yes. Like, say, niccotime (excuse spelling errors- on a phone) is a drug and is addictive.

anything that alters you in any way is a drug. Nicotine is because it's extremely addictive. Marijuana too because you get high from it.

Is 'smoking' a drug? No, I've never heard of a verb being classified as a drug.
Smoking cigarettes is a drug due to the nicotine within cigarettes. Various other things that can be smoked are considered drugs because of their chemical properties, such as marijuana, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, etc.
There are however many herbal substances that aren't classified as drugs. This is because they don't produce any psychoactive effects. I guess it would be possible to manufacture a chemical substance that doesn't produce any psychoactive effects (?), however I've never heard of it being done, nor can i think of practical reason for someone to do that.
Smoking cigarettes is not doing drugs but Nicotine is considered a drug so..........
This is a contradictory statement. How can you say smoking cigarettes is not considered "doing drugs" and then classify nicotine as a drug? Nicotine is in cigarettes, it's a stimulant, it's a drug. Therefore smoking cigarettes can and should be considered "doing drugs." It's just never classified like that because they're legal, which is really disappointing.

Does it cause addiction? yes -> Its a drug

Yes, a legal one.
Just because something is legal doesn't take it out of the class of a drug. If that was the case, one would class marijuana as not a drug in the Netherlands.

Nicotine is a chemical which 1 can classify as a drug with the combination of tobacco. It's legalized in most countries to people above 18 or 21 [depending on where one lives]
