Can be any of the 44 presidents who have graced the white house so far, just give a reason why you like them. I'm just interested to see which one's are popular within our age group.

Calvin Coolidge was a boss. He doesn't get a fraction of the recognition he deserves for what he did as a president. He walked into office with a huge, corrupt mess to clean up by himself, left by Warren G. Harding. He did a damn good job of dissolving the issues and made things a-okay :hippy:

Probably along the lines of FDR, Lyndon Johnson, Regan.

Reagan!
Lowered taxes, created 20 million new jobs, double the revenue for the government in the process, and defeated communism without going to war with USSR

Either Lincoln or FDR. Lincoln successfully saved the Union during the Civil War and FDR led the US during WWII, and brought us out of the Great Depression.
As for Reagan, I don't really see him as the greatest president. Yes, he was able to end the Cold War, but arguably started the national debt on a downward spiral in doing so. The Cold War basically only ended because the Soviet Union couldn't spend as much as the US did under Reagan.

Don't know much about them, but I do have about 20 books on Lincoln. I enjoy that time period and I think he truly was a great president.

Considering he was only in office for about a month... ( the shortest time any president has ever been in office) He didn't fuck up as much as the others did...

Easily; Woodrow Wilson.
Why? Well, he easily had the best way of handling war. Not sticking Americas nose in it.
As well, he also was a leader in Progressivism; which in contemporary times, is the LGBT movement. Then it was mostly Women's rights and prohibition.

He did say he won't get america into the war but a month after elections america joined wwi. He was a really smart guy but also the most racist president ever, I wouldn't say he would be too progressive in the outside world
I think eisenhower might have been one of the best we ever had

JFK then Reagan and Clinton

Thought I might jump in being the OP. Its good to see someone put Clinton, I also thought minus the whole affair he had a really good time in office. As much as I love the Kennedy family and the whole era I think that JFK is largely over-rated. His brother was a much more progressive liberal than he was

CALVIN COOLIDGE, he was the most pro-business, pro-self reliant president I've known. He didnt give a rats shit to the ones who didnt do anything for themselves or this country! He knew how to run a business and most importantly, a government. He was one of the most conservative presidents I've known. If the Stock Market didnt crash due to a series of natural problems, the U.S. would've been in a much better place. And we wouldnt need Obamacare or a 50% income tax on the (wealthy). When I put wealthy in parenthesies, I mean the ones who make over $250,000. After many other expenses, $250,000 is not that much!!!!!
Second would be Reagan! There is a joke that I've heard that made me laugh really hard. Here it is.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tldtKNtPOyU YOU GOT TO WATCH THIS, AT WATCH AT (0:34) IT IS FREAKING FUNNY!!!!!!!
This man takes the place as WORST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY. : )

This guy fought in the Revolutionary War at the age of 13, along with his older brother. They were both captured by the British and contracted smallpox. Both of them had to walk barefoot for miles, and his brother just couldn't take it anymore. He died, while Andrew managed to survive. At one point, a British officer wanted to humiliate him by asking him to clean his shoes. Instead of doing so, Jackson spat on the guy, and promptly got stabbed in the face.
So, he lost his brother, fought in a war, marched barefoot for miles and got stabbed in the face, all before you reached high school.
He also won the Battle of New Orleans during the War of 1812. He had to put together a force to fight the Britsh. He did it eventually. That force consisted of militia, creole aristocrats, Cherokee, and pirates. But it still wasn't as big as the British force. He still won, though.
That's why his face in on the Twenty.

A fifty percent income tax on the wealthy? http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/aug/18/warren-buffett/warren-buffett-says-super-rich-pay-lower-taxes-oth/
HAHAHAHAH try again, moron.
And I would imagine that $250,000 a year is substantially more than the median household income of $50,000.
Also, if you want to make some ironic point about the misuse of a term, you put it in quotation marks, not parentheses. Parentheses are for side remarks (also, you're a babbling idiot). Quotation marks are for using the words of another, or for indicating skepticism that a certain term is appropriate -- for instance, if someone else said that your argument was convincing or intelligent, I would reply with, "yes, his 'convincing' and 'intelligent' argument that ignored any objective facts in favor of fellating the Republican party despite the fact that their policies empirically do not work and have resulted in an enormous wealth disparity was awesome, wasn't it?"
You realize that the top 1% of Americans control 40% of the country's wealth, don't you?
What am I saying? Of course you don't.
