At the title says this is about acne. I have it. I have had it for a while. I've tried so many things to get rid of it and it wont go. Part of the problem is I have a lot of scars.
So what REALLY works to get rid of the acne and/or the scars. Im at the point where if I could get rid of the scars it would look a lot better. If it makes a difference I have it on my face, back, and little on my chest and front.

First off you may want to repost this or have it moved to VT General Hospital area to get more responsse. That being said it sounds like your case is more than just the average most teens experience. You might want to consult a Dermatolegist becuse they can perscribe things that may work better than the OTC stuff you get at the drug store.
Some things you can do if you haven't already tried is buying soap that is specifically for reducing acne and washing you face at least 2 or three times a day. Avoid foods that cause acne such as chocolote and foods high in fat. Use water base cosmetics and makeup, and protect your face and skin from the sun and if you use a suntan block make sure its not an oil base.

So then why don't you report the post instead of back seat moderating?
But regardless, he is right, this is better off in the VT General Hospital Forum, so I shall move it there for you. :)

As previously said, I'd see if you could go and see a dermatologist if you are already not on a treatment course of Acne medication. They can prescribe drugs such as Accutane, some oral retenoids and some antibiotics.
They each work in similar ways, either through altering hormones to reduce the amount of sebum being released in your skin or actively trying to kill the bacteria that irritates your skin and causes the redness and irritation.
I personally would not say that you should avoid eating chocolate or unhealthy foods, try to eat a balanced diet.
Another thing I'd say, having been through every product too, try not to use too many different things on your face. Give each individual cream or product a chance. Sometimes, you might find that you'll have equal effects from soap as you do the ultra generation Clearasil version 393 (joke).
Most importantly, stay positive. Acne is common amongst us teenagers, but that doesn't mean to say that it is insignificant to you. If it makes you feel upset, tell someone you trust. It's important that you feel comfortable with your acne.
Hope this helps, sorry for the essay

Sorry I thought I would give the poster a chance to request it be moved or repost in a more appropriate section but in the future I'll just report post in the wrong section
