This question... it's just so uggggh...Unimaginable hard to answer I love both so much and they have flaws like any thing else. The Star Wars Prequels were just horrible. And Star Trek has been bad in a lot of places through it's history but just like Star Wars makes up for it in other areas/movies. In an ending conclusions it's a tie...

it depends which Star Wars and which Star Trek. the first 3 Star Wars movies were good but then that Jar Jar Binks shit nearly tanked the whole series. and Darth Vader, Villain of the Universe is suddenly some little orphan boy whose mom was a virgin? wtf! and Star Trek, the tv shows or the movies? and which tv shows? cuz some of the tv shows are too brainy and the movies are more action which i like better. But some of the movies were stupid and some were really good. so they both have good and bad. Star Wars should have stopped after the first 3 movies and it would have been the winner no question. Who knows what Disney will do to them now. prolly make them musicals or something. or have Robin Williams as the wise cracking alien side kick.

Robin williams haha, I could just imagine him all ble with 2 antennas, why is there so much hate on jar jar? Haha
JJ abrams is directing the movie so we ll see, its funny cuz he's also the director of the star trek movies too,
Disney knows they have a lot of pressure on them I'd expect the movies to at least have a good plot,

Star Trek, hands down. Of the Star Wars I would say maybe two are stellar. Of the Star Trek movies I would say 6 out of 9. The first contact was just amazing. Now to break it down by series...
TOS: I hate it, but at the same time it still beats Star Wars, because of the diversity factor. At a time where diversity was not common on television, Gene Rodenberry went where no man has gone before and cast people of different colors of skin, backgrounds, and gender. Massive respect.
Next Generation: Set records for cable, and had some of the best television episodes period.
Deep Space Nine: My favorite followed a continuing story arc for the 6 seasons, the acting was superb, I cried when characters died.

I am a massive Star Wars fan so I have to go with it. The universe is extremely vast, with games, comics, books, and more that show us different times and characters. When it comes to movies I also prefer Star Wars since it was the aperture to all of this, the original trilogy was such a massive success that today they keep making stuff based on those movies.

Star Trek, every time.
I enjoy the diversity that it has, especially because of the time period it was made in, and I feel like if Star Wars was very over-hyped, and still continues to be over-hyped by self-proclaimed "nerdy" teenagers.
Although I did enjoy the first movie; after that it just got "ehh.."

I have to say Star Wars takes it, if only because of the universe it built. Anything from the Star Trek EU is just kind of... meh.

I vote for Star Wars. I never got into Star Trek for some reason.

Star Wars.

Why?

Because they have:

The Deathstar

Deathstar II

Executor Class Super Star Destroyer

Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer

Imperial Star Destroyer

Venator Jedi Cruiser

The Force

Lightsabers

Epic battles involving hundreds to thousands to millions of units, mechanized divisions, and HUGE space battles.

Star Wars universe = LARGE

I also like Star Trek, but all they have are:

Vulcans, Romulans, Klingons, Star Ships, and das about it. Nothing much there. Its a pretty basic sci fi really. Star Wars was well thought out. A hugely balanced universe, each star system more unique than the other one. And do they have the Force in Star Trek? Nope.

On this game I play, I own an Executor Class. XD

It's so hard to choose. I wish Star Wars were a series, like Star Trek. So, there would be more to watch ^_^

There is/was a series called "Star Wars the Clone Wars" it was a cartoon featuring the characters from the animated film. It was good, I actually watched every episode.

Now my personal fav would be star wars, I never liked star trek.
