So games like Resident Evil I cannot play alone, I'm actually to scared to play them if no one else is with me. I know it's weird :P

Anyone else like this?

I usually play them in the dark, end up freaking out and proceed to have nightmares for weeks.

I don't pay attention to scary games as much haha :D when I was 10 I remember playing Spider-Man 2 and that scared me (I even remember the level haha)

I do sometimes like scary movies, but then I'll be to scared to go to bed haha

I'm a total scaredy cat, but I play a surprising amount of horror pixel games??? I can only play them with at least two friends around, and they all make fun of me for screaming like a banshee whenever something startling happens.

Haha, only 1 other person has to be there for me. Kinda like some scary movies.

I just play them. There hasn't been a game that's been too scary for me as of late. The only game I have taken my time on because of the scare factor is Dead Space.

This is what I do as well. :P

I had nightmares for months after playing Amnesia, and I couldn't sleep for the next couple of nights at all after playing Slender Man. :P

But, even though I know I'll be freaked out, I still like playing them.

Games don't scare me normally, although my dad had me watch ofshows about aliens, monsters, and ghosts as well as horror films when I was a kid. maybe I got too used to it,

Yeah, I go through this cycle with horror games:

1. Get really excited to play, lots of courage, high hopes.
2. Buy/download game, play game in dark w/ headphones.
3. Eventually get so freaked out, I have to stop playing. Upon exiting, I uninstall it, saying such things as "I'm never playing this game again!"
4. Initial anxiety wears off in a couple days to a week.
5. Repeat.

But it highly depends on the game. I'm really desensitized with the rest, cause I've been watching slashers since I was five. It's the supernatural ones I can't stand.

Amnesia I finished in two straight playing sessions, with some screaming from jump scares, but was easy enough. Penumbra I've never finished, none of them. Usually a mixture of getting stuck on a puzzle and weariness causes me to stop playing and not resume for a couple months. I don't play FEAR because years of therapy will be erased instantly, and other than that it's Slender that follows this process to a tee, but Slender is all jump scares and nothing else as well. I've been traumatized by one thing, and one thing only, but it was a film rather than a game.

Yeah, at one point I couldnt even play Skyrim withoit someone in the room for like 2 months. I'm used to it now, but I can't sit in the room by myself playing surprising or scary games.

What's so scary about Skyrim? :P

The only thing I can't stand are the Giant Spiders. I still cringe whenever I have to fight one. Most of the time, I let my follower take care of them, and jump in only if they need help.

Nothing. I just coildnt handle being surprised. Like being in dark dungeons and something attacking me from behind. Now that I have followers though, and I know the gane pretty well, it doesnt frighten me.

I love scary games, but I often have to play with an additional player! haha :P
Like in Slender, one person using the mouse, the other one the WASD keys.

I think Silent Hill would be more terrifying than Resident Evil or Slenderman. But yeah I do occasionally get pretty scared if I'm playing Resident Evil (one of the earlier games in the series, not the new ones, blah)

Games don't really scare me anymore, but I remember when I was a lot younger my brother made me play Silent Hill and things like that with him and they scared the hell out of me. These days I can handle most games without getting very scared though. The last game that actually scared me was probably Dead Space, but you soon get used to that when you realize your guns are awesomely unstoppable. Like Aves it's the Supernatural things that get me, although I didn't find Slender all that scary. It was far too predictable.
