Every time I go to the docs office I get nervous because my parents always come with me and when phisicals come I get so nervous. So can you tell me how to help from being nervous. How to ask parents to stop coming in. And other things you can add to this.

Just tell your parents that you don't want them to come back with you.

You should talk to your parents and tell them that it makes you uncomfortable to have them in the room with you. You can feel less awkward with being around the doctor by just remembering that every guy has to do it and even the doctor had to do it.

Tell them that you'd kinda like to try goin back alone one time just to see if you can. Then after they've let you do it once they'll let you again. I don't see what the big deal is though. It's only the doc's office.

When I was 9, I just told my mom to leave me alone. She didn't care, she knows I've always been a very private person, so she just let me be. I don't think your parents will take offense to it..

your parents would probably understand i mean you're a teenage guy i think a little privacy isn't that much to ask. i would just tell them nicely that you want some privacy with the doctor.

Maybe the doc ass your parents to attend - ?
But if you get nervous I guess lots do just get in get on and get out.
Its ok really - and just be sure to be prepared or even if you say you feel nervous the doc will understand

Just say to them, "Come on mum/dad I'm big enough to go on my own now, I'm not a child" they will respect you and your privacy!

Be relax and tell them that you are no more a baby and want to feel free, at least in the doc office. Tell them that you are embarrassed.
They'll respect your privacy.

Mine come into the exam room but there's a screen between the seating area and the table you lay on. They used to come behind the screen but lately they stopped doing that.

At our age, it is perfectly fine to tell your parents that your uncomfortable! I told mine this past physical season, and they were totally cool with it. You're probably not giving your parents enough credit, they've been through this age too!

I just told them I would be fine on my own when the time came and that was that. They'll understand.

What are all these 'physicals' for anyway? I haven't ever had one.

I had one last April and my mother was with me because I had a growth in my testicle area and she knew what questions to ask. I was nervous and embarrassed at first and then I didn't care because my health was more important than my privacy.

I am actually surprised your doctor lets your parents stick around while you get naked because I am used to doctors asking parents to step out. I think your parents mean well and are still thinking you are a little kid because I am sure it was not too long around you were still in elementary school. I would talk to the parent who is the most reasonable and tell them that while you will come to them about any problems you have that you prefer to be alone with the doctor especially when you are naked. After all, you are getting to the age where you are going to need privacy for a lot of things, and it is not like you are being unreasonable asking for a bit of space while keeping your parents in the loop if something is going on.

My dad sticks around for mine also. Haven't figured out how to ask him to stay out either without sounding really rude.

I think something to do with joining sports teams in America, AvMan. I'm with you though, I've never had one either.
I went to school out of town, so if I had to go to the doctor it was going to be by myself. Once when I was home though a few years ago my mum took me to the doctor and came in with me because she was worried about something and had some questions. The doctor asked me to take my clothes off, and we both kind of just looked at my mum and did nothing and she said 'I'll wait outside.' So that worked.

Oh I get it, no, we don't do that for sports teams in the UK. Wow that must have been awkward for you.
