Whenever I watch a scary movie, I feel like I'm in danger. Like whatever happens in the movie is going to happen to me. I feel like I'm about to die. I'm not if it's because of PTSD or not but it seems possible. Does anyone else get this? It's gotten to the point where I can't even watch my favorite movies. I'm afraid for my life when I watch them. Any advice would help at this point. What are your experiences?

I cannot watch humiliating parts in movies, I get uneasy and have to get up, have to get out of the room. This is like every movie today so I don't go to the theaters much anymore. My only tip is knowing what your watching and whether you can get up and out during.

I have PTSD. I think what you have it might be a mild form, or just anxiety.
I went to a hospital a while back about it, I was having so many problems. PTSD stands for "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder", which I am sure you're aware of. Usually you get it when something bad happens to you. Like, say you're in the army and you watch your best friend on your, I am gonna say team although I'm sure it's wrong, blow up from a mine. That would cause PTSD. Or, when you're a child, you get raped or watch your parent get raped. That can cause it too.
But some people just have it.
So you could have it. I don't know you, I don't know what you've gone through. So I hope the feelings you get fade quickly, because I know first-hand it can definitely suck eggs.
Edit: Squad, not team.

Same. I cannot sleep after. And for humiliating parts, I hate them. They really bug me.

Well, I had PTSD. I haven't had flashbacks in a while because I have had therapy for it. I generally have to avoid movies though. Especially movies with car chases or scenes with fish in them. Just figure out what you're watching and what triggers it has in it.

Ah I see. I have only been diagnosed with it from one... Now I feel brilliant for explaining that to someone who knows what it is. ._.

Lol. It's all good. I was also diagnosed with psychosis but it's rather slight.

I can watch most movies, but like MrMundane mentioned, I struggle to watch embarrassing or awkward parts of movies. I just feel incredibly uncomfortable and want to leave the room. It really sucks cause I can't watch classic girly films or anything.
