Who suffers more from peer pressure?
Guys or girls?
I think girls suffer more. With pressure to get a guy, have a perfect body, the stigma of emo/goth, etc.
I was under peer pressure a while back. They didn't like me, and they told me to kill myself. I almost did, then I realised that there's more to life than them.

Really we all have peer pressure. Even if it doesn't seem like it, the people we regularly associate with, even if they're not straight up saying "You're lame if you.." or "You're cool if you..." they still are influencing you. Peer pressure isn't just someone pushing you (although, yes, it's called peer PRESSURE), but rather being influenced by, obviously your peers.
Both genders really are. I know, and this is just from experience, my close friend influenced my twin brother to stop beating me up. And my close friend is a guy. Likewise, my little sister's been influenced to be a lying, mean little girl from someone she calls her friend. I've been influenced by my friends and other associates to not really care about most big things in life, but to lay low.
So really, both genders have it. It just depends on whether or not it's positive.

Both girls are guys are peer pressured in today's society. They're both expected to fit into a certain stereotype that barely anyone reaches and then we tear apart that stereotype anyway. OP, you've given some of the reasons girls are peer pressured but what about how society expects guys to look strong, be sporty, act out, not show any sign of weakness. That's got to be harder on them? Girls are somewhat 'expected' to be weak which means that in that sense they get it easier. I think while guys are expected to act and be a certain way, girls are peer pressured to look and dress a certain way. If you're not dressing provocatively wearing fuck loads of make up and acting like you'd spread your legs for anyone who asks then you're not accepted. It's sad that the peer pressure for girls to be pretty, skinny and 'perfect' is affecting those younger and younger. You get 11 year olds being kitted out with all the top brands and wearing loads of make up, smoking and drinking to try and fit in and look cool. It's sick that this is what society expects and then when they get people like this we end up tearing them down anyway. We're constantly contradicting ourselves, can't get anything right and that's how it will always be. You shouldn't have to decipher who gets the worst deal, both boys and girls get it rough and we shouldn't disregard either gender.

I will concur with the idea that we all suffer the same. Sure, the pressures are different, but the pressures and usually the themes are identical.
Looks:
- Girls: pretty, thin, often provocative dressing, etc.
- Boys: masculine, fit, seem like you don't care what you're wearing, etc.
Behavior:
- Girls: Weak, dependent, maybe ditzy, get boys' attention, flirty, etc.
- Boys: Get laid, be strong, don't care about stuff, enjoy sports, etc.
I could keep going, but for the sake of we all know this already, I'll stop. We all suffer from similar pressures, just to do the opposite things. Usually peer pressure is a pressure to be feminine or to be masculine. Also a problem in society. Yaaaaaay, the social construction of gender. Go ahead and Google that one, kiddies.
